Duk Kee Chinese Restaurant serves authentic Cantonese food. They have monthly specials, daily specials and happy hour making their prices reasonable for everyone. The portions are great for sharing with 2 or 3 people and family style dining is recommended so you can try a few dishes. Their crispy gau gee, cajun shrimp, cold ginger chicken, sweet & sour cabbage with beef were my favorites.
Their interior space is tight but they can accommodate large groups and families. I came on a Saturday night for dinner and they were busy. They do a lot of take out orders and deliveries but the kitchen can keep up since we got our food in a timely matter. They forgot one of our dishes but we kindly reminding them and they were on it. There isn't much service from the wait staff but that's normal for any Chinese restaurant. Overall, the food tasted great and the prices were reasonable so I'd come back again. I do recommend making a reservation a few days in advance though since they get busy. For parking, park inside the Kaimuki Municipal Lot with entrances on 11th Ave and 12th Ave because this lot doesn't have a 1 hour limit. You just pull a ticket when you enter the lot and then pay with a card to exit.
