The Little Oven - CLOSED

They are finally open again! If you are a dessert lover and never came here 2 years ago, now is the time to come. It's a tiny little shop that serves spectacular desserts. There is only one chef and one assistant creating/plating the desserts so the wait time is about 20-30 minutes. I recommend ordering everything on the left side of the menu after you walk in. If you are an impatient person, don't come here because this place is not for you. This business runs on an odd schedule. You need to check their twitter or facebook page to see when they open.

Dim Sum House

If you work in downtown and you need to eat something good and you want it fast, this is the place. They're located at the bottom of the Remington College building. You'll see a flight of stairs that lead down by the coin shop. Take those stairs down and walk to the opposite end.

Dim Sum House has a lot to offer. You can order 1 or 2 choices in the front, dim sum, or something from the menu. If you're there for dim sum, go in front of the steamers and just tell the cashiers which items you want. The dim sum is more pricey than what you pay in Culture Plaza. If you order the deep fried items on the tray, you can mix so you're not stuck eating 3 of the same things. Their won ton mein is also very good. They offer breakfast items for under $4 which I haven't tried yet so I need to go back.

Sweet E's Cafe

Here's a great spot for those who want brunch. It's a small restaurant that's tucked in the back of Feng Shui World on Kapahulu Ave. On the weekends, it's super crowded. They don't take reservations so you need to come early. I don't recommend coming in big groups.

The food taste great and I think I may have fallen in love with their hash brown. The portions are big so sharing might not be a bad idea. But if you have a big appetite, I'm sure one of their plates will fill you. They have a parking lot but the stalls are very tight so leave your SUV at home.
