Happy Valley Pasta & Pizza is located in the Kapahulu area near Diamond Head. The name of the restaurant is painted really big on their exterior wall by the entrance. It's a casual Italian restaurant with Japanese and American fusion. They offer Japanese style pastas that have shoyu in the sauce but they also have the traditional tomato and cream sauces. The interior is big and it's spacious between each table. If you dine in during the lunch hour, they have a lunch special; order any pizza or pasta and get a side salad and beverage (non-alcoholic).
Their prices are reasonable and their portions are big. If you like seafood, I recommend the calamari and cod roe Japanese style pasta. Their pizza is also very good; they made theirs with a thin crust. The best thing about this restaurant is that they have parking. There are quite a bit of businesses on Monsarrat Ave that do not have parking and trying to find a space on the street is tough.
