Tsukada Nojo Hawaii - Restaurant Week 2017

Tsukada Nojo is new to restaurant week. They are offering shabu shabu for $40. Their shabu shabu broths are flavorful and there is a lot of food included in the shabu shabu set. There was also a drink that came with it. You want to save room for dessert because the mini polar bear shave ice was a great way to end the meal.

MW - Restaurant Week 2017

MW Restaurant is offering a lunch and dinner menu. The 3-course dinner menu is $55. I come here every year for restaurant week and they never disappoint. You get a lot of options to choose from for your entree and dessert and some of the items change out so what your friend ate last night might not be there when you go tonight.

For more information, visit www.restaurantweekhawaii.com/restaurant/mwrestaurant.

Appetito Craft Pizza & Wine Bar - Restaurant Week 2017

Appetito Craft Pizza & Wine Bar is new to restaurant week. They are offering a lunch and dinner menu. The lunch menu consists of 3-courses and is priced at $25. You have the option of choosing 1 of 3 entrees to go with your appetizer and dessert. The restaurant opened earlier this month in the Ohana Waikiki East. They're working a few things out but the food is delicious, the service is great and the staff are friendly. If you're on a tight budget and you still want to support restaurant week, this is a good place to check out for lunch or dinner.

Bozu Japanese Restaurant

Bozu is an izakaya located on the 2nd floor of the McCully Shopping Center. They have a specials menu with some creative dishes that are worth trying. I recommend getting sashimi because they have good cuts of fish. I enjoyed the blue fin toro but it's not something they have often. Their grilled items are delicious but the portions are small. The prices are reasonable but if you plan to eat a lot of sushi and sashimi the bill will add up fast.

Some of the staff don't speak English well so you may have to repeat yourself but they are friendly and they provide excellent service. The restaurant is small and the lighting is dim. If you plan on coming with more than 2 people for dinner, I highly recommend making reservations. You can also take a chance at going right when they open for dinner to get a table before the crowd. The parking lot at the shopping center is always busy and the stalls are tight.
