Rosarina Pizza - CLOSED

When you think pizza, the last place you would think is Chinatown. The pizza’s and sub’s here are really delicious. Their pizza crust is thin and crispy. The tomato sauce to pizza topping ratio is just right. As for the sub’s, I recommend the ham, pepperoni, and cheese sub.

J2 Asian Fusion - CLOSED

I was expecting this place to be “wow” but it wasn’t all that great. The seafood basket and the pork rolls were too bland. The baked duck was way too salty. The portions are small and it’s really pricey. I didn’t bother to check out their dessert menu.

If you want to give this place a try, they're in Kaimuki.

Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant

The dim sum here is on the pricey side. The items that stood out were the seafood bean curd rolls and the crystal taro buns. The seafood bean curd rolls were deep fried instead of steamed like other Chinese restaurants. Having that extra crisp to the bean curd skin made it taste so much better. The skin for the crystal taro buns were very thin and the taro filling was sweet and creamy. It was perfect!

I was disappointed with the Cantonese pork dumplings. The skin was super thick and there was barely any pork filling inside. For the beef look fun rolls they could have added some parsley and onion for a better presentation.

This place wasn't my cup of tea. But if you want more information, you can check out their website at http://jadedynastyhawaii.com.

Gogi Korean Taco Truck

I’ve been hearing a lot of good reviews about this place so I went to check it out. I got there around noon and the line wasn’t too bad. The food took about 15-20 minutes. I tried to order a little bit of everything but I forgot the Creamy Kimchee Fries.

The combination of ingredients in the Gogi Dog made it sound not appetizing but when I took a bite into that dog, it was delicious! The Gogi Quesadilla was also very good. I choose BBQ chicken as the filling and the chunks of chicken were very flavorful. The BiBim burrito was huge and very filling. I recommend sharing it with a friend or two friends. I wasn’t impressed with the Gogi Sliders. The bread seemed a bit dry and the sauce was a little too spicy for me. I was disappointed with the tacos. There was too much lettuce and very little meat filling. I also expected it to be bigger.
